Question by Doc V: What if I was fired for emailing public information about a co-worker, being registered child sex offender?

I stumbled across a registered sex offender site and discovered a co-worker was registered sex offender of minors under the age of 14.
I emailed the link to 4 internal co-workers, I was immediately fired, was that wrong. Never signed anything upon hire of email misuse, did not receive any email protocols or handbooks upon hiring back in 1989

You seem to be asking strangers to tell you the terms of your employment contract. I have no idea. If you have no contract, and you are in the u.s., you can be fired for no reason at all.
